For those who have problems hosting games, or even finding a good host to play with, “Host Bots” might be the best solution.
“Host Bots” are no more than automatic hosters that any player can use to play a game against any other player online. By using these bots, players don’t have to waste time looking for another player that, can actually host them, gives them a good ping and at the same time wants to play them.
The bot solves all hosting problems, since they can host everyone and they are seeded in different zones of the globe, specially Europe and North America. Even if you happen not to be from these places, you can always use them so that you and your enemy have more or less the same ping and therefore more balanced conditions.
However it seems new players and even some older ones, don’t rely that much on them, but why?
From what I have been witnessing, they don’t actually know how to use them, or don’t step up to understand the non-complexity of using a “Host Bot”:
“This is a 1v1 host bot located in (place) which anyone can use. First send me a message saying ‘host’. When you are in my hut, you can send me ‘start’, ‘pp’, ‘cr’, ‘fo’, ‘rank’, ‘unrank’, ‘maps’, ‘color name’. There is much less lag than when players host themselves. This is especially useful with players from different locations (use the bot which gives both players the lowest ping).”
Apply these steps and you will be wanting to use “Host Bots” in your 1v1 games in no time. Lets just hope that “Host Bots” will be able to host team games in the future.
